Valentine's Day Crafts for Preschoolers
February Check-In Board
Help children recognize their names by having a check-in board. I change mine each month. This on is made from white poster board. I drew a mailbox, colored it then added magnet strips (we have 18 students so I put 18 strips on the board. Use hearts (store bought or made from posterbard) laminate and add magnetic strips to the back to connect to the board. The children move their name from the "big" heart (also made from poster board, see picture below) to the mailbox as they arrive each morning. On a sentence strip write "Look Who's Here Today" and put above the boards.

Dear Parents,
With Valentine's Day quickly approaching we would like for you and your child to create a special Valentine Box to hold their Valentine's in. They will be displayed in the classroom. We hope that you will enjoy this time with your child creating their own special box. You may use any items you wish to create the box, some suggestions are an old shoe box or an empty kleenex box. Have fun and use your imagination!
